Kirsten is inspired by collections of objects, personal possessions, garments and natural forms. She works on paper using washes of acrylic and watercolour paint, often working onto layered and collaged surfaces.


Fragments of maps, stamps, text and patterns are used to create a subtle narrative and hidden stories.

Her pieces evoke imagined and remembered histories and quirky ideas relating to the objects themselves or the places where they were found or bought.
Each print is hand worked, signed and editioned by the artist and comes with a short story which outlines some of the background ideas connected to the piece.

Images are printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art paper using archival quality UV stable pigment inks.
Kirsten works in her studio at Barn Acre Gallery in Wargrave, Berkshire where she shows her new paintings and limited edition prints.
